MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND BENEFITS:


This conventional element manufacturing process, which our vastly simplified process replaces, is exceedingly complex, requiring very high levels of fixed capital and revenue capital to operate satisfactorily. Further, it requires complex product and component scheduling throughout the 7 industry sector chain to keep inventory and working capital costs under control. Our vastly shortened process avoids all of this cost and complexity. All elements, regardless of final power rating required, can be produced to the same (higher than required power rating, and at no extra cost to the operator), before adjusting the final rating to the required levels as the final production step. This dramatically simplifies the production call-up & scheduling process.

Apart from these economic and operational benefits, our simplified process also avoids the consumption of very large amounts of heat and mechanical energy (stages shown in red on the flow chart), avoids the production of large quantities of acidic effluent streams (stages shown in orange), avoids considerable energy consumption in transport costs (represented by the green arrows) and does away with the need for environmentally damaging open-cast mining of magnesium oxide. This contrasts sharply with the (typically) 27+ stage process to produce conventional coiled wire elements, involving 7 different industry sectors.


Our novel elements are applied directly to the article to be heated using a short, “straight-through” process.
